The human minibrain includes brain cells in a microfluidic chip. In this lab, not only the brain but also as a gut-brain axis, blood-brain barrier and blood vessels are studied using microfluidic chips.

Our lab studies neurodegenerative diseases and dementia by investigating cellular signals using microfluidic chips, which help us understand disease mechanisms and explore potential treatments.

Our lab studies brain aging by modeling age-related cellular and molecular changes using microfluidic chips, which help us uncover how neural, glial, and vascular interactions decline over time and identify strategies to restore brain function.
